This custom built Explorer from Ash Customworks is fantastic player and a rare chance to own a truly unique guitar!
Made in Auckland, New Zealand circa 2010, this take on the classic Explorer model is a stunning example of the exceptional build quality that Ash Customworks was well known for. This one-off build features a Korina body AND neck, with a neck-through design that results in an incredibly resonant and well balanced guitar that feels super lively in your hands. The guitar is finished in satin Nitrocellulose lacquer with a gloss Gold top, using real bronze-powder just like they did in the '50s! Loaded with Bareknuckle Nailbomb humbuckers which offer lots of power and grunt but with excellent clarity and a somewhat vintage "woody" neck position that makes this a very versatile set. A full 25.5" scale length makes this a great option for Fender and Ibanez players who want something a bit different but don't want to let go of the longer scale and increased string tension that gives you that bite. The guitar is finished off with rock solid Gotoh hardware, flame maple binding and pickups surrounds, stainless screws, and a Graphtech nut.
Overall in great condition, with a couple of small dings - as expected for a nitro finished instrument nearly 15 years old.
And yes, it includes a hard case!
