Sometimes we get a guitar in that just makes you go wow...

This is a 2009 Gibson Custom Shop Limited Edition Johnny Winter '63 Firebird V (what a mouthful), painstakingly aged by Tom Murphy to replicate the late Johnny Winter's iconic 1963 Firebird V - the commitment to perfectly recreate every little crack, ding, screw hole and burn mark is awe inspiring and a sight to behold! This guitar both looks and feels like the real deal.

Oh, and to top it off; this particular guitar was owned by Steve Miller, and includes a signed and dated certificate from the Steve Miller Band.

Now if that hasn't already gotten you excited, lets get nerdy. The stock pickups installed in this model by Gibson were not actually Firebird pickups, instead Gibson decided to cut a manufacturing corner and installed mini-humbuckers disguised in Firebird covers - but fear not! Mojotone Pickups teamed up with Johnny Winter in 2014 to create a signature set based on his original pickups, utilizing the exact same materials and specs but with a little bit of extra magic. A set of these pickups have been retrofitted to this guitar to bring it even closer to Johnny's original, and they sound spectacular; warm and round in the neck but with excellent clarity and airyness, while the bridge has tonnes of punch and sizzle, making these some of the best pickups we've encountered for blues and especially slide!

Overall condition is excellent with the exception of the strap buttons have been swapped for Schaller ones. The original Gibson pickups are included along with the OHSC and case candy, including the COA signed by Johnny Winter. The weight comes in at a comfortable 8lb 13oz and feels very balanced to play.
