2016 Rickenbacker 4003S w/Case – Midnight Blue

One Beautiful Big Blue Bass!

The Rickenbacker 4003S draws from the iconic 4003 and its predecessor the 4001, featuring the same pickups as the 4003 and overall design but with a few tweaks. The most obvious differences are on the body; no binding and a carved, rounded over top edge make the body much more comfortable to play and give the bass a sleek appearance. The other notable difference is the vintage 4001 style dot inlays instead of the deluxe triangle inlays. The 4003S also lacks the stereo Rick-O-Sound jacks in favour of a simple single mono jack. One of our favourite features of this bass is the push-pull pot on the treble pickup, this switch adds in the capacitor found on vintage 4001 basses, cutting low end and instantly giving you that iconic bright Ricky tone!

Overall this bass is in very good condition; the now discontinued Midnight Blue finish is tidy with no major dings or scratches, and the frets and lacquered fretboard are in great shape. The chrome treble pickup cover has been removed for better playability, however it is included in the sale and can be fitted on request. Includes original RIC hard case.
