2008 Fender Custom Shop Todd Krause Masterbuilt Eric Clapton Stratocaster w/Case – Black

This 2008 Fender Custom Shop Masterbuilt Clapton Strat in the iconic black colourway is one heck of strat!

Of the many Eric Clapton signature instruments, this one has got to be a top pick - a hybrid of the best parts of the standard signature model with the classic looks and feel of the original "Blackie", and to top it off this one is Masterbuilt by none other than the man who makes Strats for Clapton; Todd Krause! Todd is an absolutely legendary luthier who's client list goes beyond Clapton and has included David Gilmour, Jeff Beck, Bob Dylan, Kenny Wayne Shepherd and many more!

So let's get into it! This guitar features a 2-piece select alder body with a black nitrocellulose finish, and a 1-piece AAA flamed maple neck with a soft "V" profile, 9.5" radius, and 22 vintage-style frets. 3 Vintage Noiseless pickups are paired with an Active Mid-Boost circuit and 5-position switch. And of course, it wouldn't be a Clapton Strat without the blocked vintage-style Tremolo for better tuning stability and sustain.

The overall condition is excellent for its age, with virtually zero fret wear and no significant dings or wear in the nitro finish. Included is the original tweed hard shell case (has some black marks on the outside) and COA, as well as the original ashtray bridge cover, tremolo arm and spring kit, and tweed cable. The strap buttons have been swapped for Schallers, but the originals are also included.
