Crowther Audio – Hotcake

Probably the most iconic overdrive pedal of all time. Made in New Zealand by Paul Crowther to this day, and improved upon since it's conception in 1976, the Hotcake is practically synonomous with the words "classic distortion pedal".

This pedal has been used by many notable musicians, including Neil Finn of Split Enz and Crowded House; Noel Gallagher of Oasis; Mark Knopfler of Dire Straits; Hugh Harris of The Kooks; Buzz Osborne of The Melvins; Thurston Moore of Sonic Youth; Stephen Malkmus of Pavement and The Jicks; J Mascis of Dinosaur Jr.; Nels Cline of Wilco; Cory Messenger of The Welcome Mat; Ed O'Brien of Radiohead; Adrian Utley of Portishead - you get the idea. 

This is by far our best-selling pedal, and for good reason. We believe that every kiwi guitarist should have one of these on their board.
