An awesome semi-hollow model from Yamaha's early years!
During the '70s, Yamaha was slowly changing their catalog away from their more original designs of the '60s, and catering to the popularity of Gibson-style guitars. The SA series would eventually become closely based on ES models, but in the early '70s these guitars still had a lot of the unique Yamaha aesthetics and character to them which we love!
The SA-60 was at the time a premium model, second only to the top of the line SA-90. Featuring a double bound, laminated maple body, and maple neck with a rosewood fretboard and mother of pearl inlays, and Yamaha's "New, Powerful" humbucking pickups with dual volume and tone controls.
We have had the pots replaced with new CTS for reliability, but this guitar is otherwise all original and includes the original early '70s hard shell case and manual.
