This 1998 Gibson Les Paul Standard Double Cutaway is a fantastic player focused instrument. It's light, comfortable and has easy access to all 24 frets. Imagine an SG and a Les Paul had a baby - this is the offspring!
Along with a simplified control layout this model also has a belly cut which makes it perfect for sitting or standing. It's very well balanced, so no neck dive here. If you love the Gibson sound but don't like the sometimes awkward shape then this one is for you!
The more you play this, the more you will love it. It has setup perfectly and plays beautifully. A lot of late 90's Gibson are given a bad rap - but this one shows no signs of the issues that can crop up - it's excellent throughout. Mahogany body with a Maple cap, with a Rosewood fretboard. The well regarded 490R / 498T pickups complete the package.
