This is a sought-after 2019 Gibson Hummingbird Chroma, a limited-edition electro-acoustic model built in Bozeman, Montana, that fuses the legendary square-shoulder body with modern tonewoods and appointments.
The Chroma Hummingbird forgoes the traditional use of mahogany back and sides for solid quilt maple. Paired with a solid Sitka Spruce top, and finished with a hand-sprayed Black Cherry Nitrocellulose gloss lacquer, this player provides a bright, articulate, and powerful tone with excellent note separation and projection—perfect for cutting through a mix.
Built for the modern player, the Hummingbird Chroma cutaway has a slightly longer scale length of 25.5", a fast-playing Advanced Response neck, Richlite fingerboard, and features the L.R. Baggs Sessions VTC pickup.
