The one and only Crowther Hotcake!

As one of the original boutique effects pedals, the Hotcake has become an overdrive of legendary status, and has been a favourite of both Kiwi and international artists for over 45 years! With it's transparent pre-amp like character, the Hotcake makes for a great primary gain stage and can deliver anything from a clean boost to all out thick distortion. What makes the Hotcake special is that it is designed to leave the undistorted component of the guitar sound unchanged, even as you increase the drive, making it perfect for stacking with other pedals, or into an already distorted amp.

The 2020 revision of the Hotcake brings access to two new switches (previously internal dip-switches). The +Cream switches between the standard Hotcake circuit and the warmer, creamier Bluesberry circuit, while the XLF switch allows more low end to pass through the circuit for use with extended range guitars and bass.
