We are excited to announce the arrival of Furch guitars to New Zealand, after being appointed the exclusive retailer for this top of the line European built guitar brand.

This guitar is the Little Jane travel guitar – a revolutionary, highly portable guitar that fits in a backpack for musicians on the go. The neck unclips from the body, the headstock is removed from the neck and the neck is stored inside the guitar, meaning the whole guitar is stored in a small backpack that even Jetstar won't have an issue with as hand luggage!

Don't be put off by the construction or size of the guitar - this is a very nice sounding guitar, great mid range and an unbelievable bottom end. Picking or strumming, it will deliver.

The soundboard is individually tuned on each guitar using Furch’s voicing process which enhances the guitar’s tonal properties to the highest level, giving the guitar a crystalline clear, harmonically rich, balanced and highly dynamic sound across the tonal spectrum.

A high precision, dual -action truss road maintains neck stability and allows for fine adjustment of the neck bilaterally. The truss rod is housed in a highly rigid carbon casing which enables a very smooth & controlled adjustment, ensuring the best playability and optimal setup.

Finally, while Furch often ship from their factory with electronics and pickups installed, we have elected instead to offer pickups as an optional extra. One bit of feedback we often get is that people love their instrument, but have a favoured pickup system, often NOT the one included with their instrument. Furch's reccomended pickup for the Little Jane is the LR Baggs Element VTC, which we can install for an additional $499.

This guitar is a Little Jane LJ10-CM, a unique travel guitar, designed to be taken with you anywhere. Furch's proprietary assembly system allows for quick and easy assembly and disassembly, fitting into a compact backpack for travel. ‘CM’ – refers to the woods, Western Red Cedar & African Mahogany.

The body is finished in Furch’s own Open-Pore finish, that lets the natural sonic qualities of the wood come through, whilst providing excellent surface protection. The beautiful amber colour of the cedar is complemented by the man-made tortoiseshell body binding.

The guitar is supplied with a extremely high quality Furch backpack, providing rigid protection and compact enough to be transported as hand luggage on planes.

In line with Furch’s Environmental commitments, the carbon footprint of this guitar is 12.5kg (reduced from over 31kg).
