Handcrafted in the Czech Republic, Furch has been making premium acoustic guitars since 1981. They have gained huge popularity all over the world and landed in the hands of artists such as Al Di Meola, Suzanne Vega, Glen Hansaard, and David Knopfler. Innovative design, high quality tonewoods, and a stellar commitment to environmental sustainability has helped Furch build a reputation for incredible tone and reliability.

Every Furch stands out thanks to their unique voicing process; each guitar's soundboard is individually tuned to enhance it's tonal properties to the highest level. This process produces a crystalline clear, harmonically rich, and highly dynamic sound across the tonal spectrum.

In addition to Furch's techniques for sonic maximization, they have also tackled the age old problem of neck resets! Furch's revolutionary CNR System® consists of a high precision dual-action truss rod placed inside a carbon casing, combined with a highly rigid composite neck heel. The innovative design offers unparalleled stability, and because it is very rigid, the neck joint of Furch guitars doesn't require heavy reinforcements, making it much lighter than traditional designs, and allowing a larger area of the soundboard to resonate freely and produce better tone.

In addition to Furch's core Colour series, they also offer a range of vintage inspired acoustics for those wanting a more traditional sound and look to their guitars. The Vintage series is arranged into three base models; the Vintage 1 (available in SM or SR), the Vintage 2 SR, and the flagship Vintage 3 SR.

This guitar is a Vintage 2 OOM-SR

The Vintage 2 SR is protected by Vintage Finish, which is applied using the same technology and provides the benefits of UV coating as Furch's proprietary Full-Pore High-Gloss Finish. Thanks to hand buffing, the guitar has a pleasing patina reminiscent of traditional instruments. Combined with other features, such as a green abalone rosette and faux ivory binding, the design of the Vintage 2 SR breathes the image of a fine aged instrument enhanced by state-of-the-art construction technologies. Like all other Vintage models, the guitar features a solid-wood construction that combines a Sitka spruce soundboard and Indian rosewood back and sides to produce a rich balanced sound. The guitar comes with a heavy-duty Hiscox hardshell case.

The Vintage 2 SR is also available in D (Dreadnaught) or OM (Orchestra Model) with or without cutaway. Left-handed versions of these are also available at the same price as the right-handed model.

Furch often ship their guitars from the factory with electronics and pickups installed, however we have elected instead to offer pickups as an optional extra. One bit of feedback we often get is that people love their instrument, but have a favoured pickup system, often NOT the one included with their instrument. To give the maximum flexibility for your guitar, we can install any of the following from stock into your Furch: (additional cost applies for the pickup, but installation is free when the pickup is purchased from us).
