The 50 series is the premier level of instruments from Lowden, using Master Grade woods, and incredible finish and attention to detail. The 50 series has a huge array of wood options, but we felt it would only be right to showcase George Lowden's preferred wood combination for this model - a Sinker Redwood top with African Blackwood back and sides.
This model we also specified with a cutaway - no electronics at this stage, as we didn't want to take the guitars new owner into a specific choice. A pickup system of your choice can be installed, including the Lowden LR Baggs Anthem system, or anything else you would prefer.
As with all Lowden's, the balance across the sound range is impeccable, but the wood combination on this guitar gives darker overtones, tight response and a rich but not overpowering bottom end. It is a masterpiece.
