Mozztronics ST-900 Sans Tube JCM900 Pedal

"

A while ago we made the TD-900 pedal. This is the whole boost channel preamp from the “900” amp that is loved by many people. We included the preamp tube, but we run this tube at a gain of 30 (the original amp ran this tube at only a gain of 3).

We then thought, what if we replace the tube with a jfet, could we fit it into the small pedal enclosure. We succeeded and this is the result. Its a 900 without the tube, hence the “sans tube” 900 as the name of the pedal. We kept in the 3 band eq from the 900 amp.

This goes from very low crunch to searing high gain. It chugs very nicely and pinch harmonics fly off the fingerboard.

GAIN controls the amount of dirt, BASS is 60Hz, MID is 400Hz, TREble is 4hKz, VOL is the master volume for the dirty signal. The RED LED indicates the effect is ON. The 3 band eq is an “amp style” eq, so start with all eq controls on maximum and bring them down as desired.

Mozztronics uses the industry standard Boss style 2.1mm center negative 9V DC socket for the power supply connection."
