Made in Woodstock, New York, this Spector Coda 4 blends old with with new into a familiar feeling J style bass with some serious attitude!
Founded in NYC in 1976, Spector have contributed hugely to the development and design of modern bass guitars, as well as producing two legenderary luthiers: Ned Steinburger and Vinny Fodera.
Not to be confused with the more affordable Coda Pro, the original Coda Basses were introduced in 2010, and are Stuart Spector's interpretation of a classic, revised with modern playability and tone, and handmade in Woodstock. This Coda is a very rare early model from this first year of production and it is a superbly put together instrument! The neck is buttery smooth, and the weight balance is very nice.
Overall condition is good, although a couple of tasteful mods have been made; a pair of Nordstrand Big Splits, a Darkglass Tone Capsule, and a Babicz bridge.
Setup with 45-105 strings and plays great! Includes non-original gig bag.
Available at our Wellington store.
