Part of the discontinued American Special line, these Limited Edition Sandblasted Swamp Ash models were only made for one year and have become quite sought after for their striking appearance! With Fender's discontinuation of using Ash on standard production models, all Ash body Fender's have started to climb in price, so now is a good time to buy if you have your heart set on this wood!
This bass has undergone a couple of mods: the bridge has been upgraded to a Babicz and the tuning machines are Hipshot, the rest of the hardware has also been swapped to black to match. All original chrome hardware is included. The pickup has also been swapped out for a Nordstrand NP4 - and it sounds fantastic!
Aside from the mods, the overall condition is very tidy. Setup with 45-105 strings and plays great. Includes non-original gig bag.
