2023 Collings 290 w/Throbak P90s – Natural

This guitar is as gorgeous as it is simple, and if you know Collings, you'll know this absolutely rips!

Named for the scenic US 290 highway that winds past the Collings shop and through the Texas Hill Country, the 290 is a modern day tribute to the original working man’s rock and roll guitar. A solid mahogany body and neck are complemented by two Soapbar P90 pickups for a tone that shows off the amazing harmonic range and dynamics of this often underrated configuration.

This particular 290 was special ordered with figured mahogany (look at that chatoyancy), a wraparound bridge, and Throbak 52/54 P90s; and we think its a match made in heaven! This guitar is very light yet perfectly balanced, and the Throbaks sound stunning, offering tonnes of punchy '50s character as well as incredible dynamic cleans when you roll back the volume.

In mint condition - the plastic film is still on the rear control covers! Includes the original Ameritage hard shell case, as well as all the case candy!
