This 2019 Fender Duff McKagan Deluxe Precision Bass is a modern evolution of the '80s Jazz Bass Special that powered the low-end of Guns N' Roses' classic era. It features a hot-rodded PJ pickup configuration that pairs a powerful Fender Vintage-Style Split Single-Coil P-Bass pickup (middle) with a punchy Seymour Duncan STKJ2B Jazz Bass single-coil pickup (bridge). Tonal versatility is managed by the unique Master TBX (Treble/Bass Expander) Tone Control, which allows for a standard tone roll-off, but when opened up past '5', reduces resistance to let more treble, bass, and presence shine through. Built for live performance, the bass includes a Hipshot Bass Xtender on the E-string for instant Drop-D tuning. Finally, the bass features an iconic look with a sleek black-painted Maple neck and Rosewood fingerboard, accented by classic pearloid block inlays, binding, and a custom Duff skull-and-crossbones neck plate.
