A seriously cool amp.
This hand-wired, Fender Custom Shop '57 Twin-Amp is a beast! It has huge crystal clear cleans, but turn it up and you get that raunchy, bluesy crunch and sweet, singing sustain that tweed era Fenders are famous for. Built to 1957 specifications, this Twin-Amp is special among tweed amps for its "low-powered" 40-watt 5E8A circuit, favoured by Eric Clapton and David Gilmour. Powered by a pair of 6L6s with dual 5U4 rectifiers and Mercury Magnetics transformers, the result is a highly responsive, dynamic feeling amp that is the perfect plug-and-play amp, and also takes pedals exceptionally well. These Custom Shop reissues are completely hand-wired in Corona, California, and feature vintage-style yellow capacitors, and a pair of custom designed, 12" Alnico speakers, made in the USA by Eminence.
There aren't too many of these in New Zealand, and even less with the correct 240v for NZ/Aus. Overall in great condition, however some of the lettering on the control panel has worn off. The lacquered tweed covering and leather handle are both lightly worn in. Includes original manual, schematic, and amp cover.
