This guitar is from the Grand Nylon Series – a hybrid nylon strung series, with a cutaway and thinner neck than a standard classical guitar.

The soundboard is individually tuned on each guitar using Furch’s voicing process which enhances the guitar’s tonal properties to the highest level, giving the guitar a crystalline clear, harmonically rich, balanced and highly dynamic sound across the tonal spectrum.

An issue we see with many mid-high end guitars is the need for neck resets. Furch’s CNR Neck Design is something we are excited about as this system virtually guarantees a reset won’t ever be needed. A high precision, dual -action truss road maintains neck stability and allows for fine adjustment of the neck bilaterally. The truss rod is housed in a highly rigid carbon casing which enables a very smooth & controlled adjustment, ensuring the best playability and optimal setup. This guitar is a Grand Nylon GNc2-SW. To break this down, the Grand Nylon Series comes in 2 models, the GN2 & GN4. The GN2 denotes the series, the ‘c; a cutaway, and finally ‘SW’ – these are the woods, Sitka Spruce & Black Walnut.

The Grand Nylon series combines two guitar worlds, the sound and lightness of classical guitars and the ergonomic features of the steel string guitar neck – referred to sometimes as a ‘Hybrid’ neck.

The body is finished in Furch’s own Open-Pore finish, that lets the natural sonic qualities of the wood come through, whilst providing excellent surface protection.

The beautiful look of the guitar is underscored by body binding made from man-made tortoiseshell, and a double ring rosette featuring a black Walnut inlay. A transparent pickguard designed to have no effect on the tonal properties of the guitar protects the guitar, while allowing the natural beauty of the wood come through.
