This guitar is from the Grand Nylon Series – a hybrid nylon strung series, with a cutaway and thinner neck than a standard classical guitar.

The soundboard is individually tuned on each guitar using Furch’s voicing process which enhances the guitar’s tonal properties to the highest level, giving the guitar a crystalline clear, harmonically rich, balanced and highly dynamic sound across the tonal spectrum.

An issue we see with many mid-high end guitars is the need for neck resets. Furch’s CNR Neck Design is something we are excited about as this system virtually guarantees a reset won’t ever be needed. A high precision, dual -action truss road maintains neck stability and allows for fine adjustment of the neck bilaterally. The truss rod is housed in a highly rigid carbon casing which enables a very smooth & controlled adjustment, ensuring the best playability and optimal setup. One bit of feedback we often get is that people love their instrument, but have a favoured pickup system, often NOT the one included with their instrument. This guitar is a Grand Nylon GNc4-SR. To break this down, the Grand Nylon Series comes in 2 models, the GN2 & GN4. The GN4 denotes the series, the ‘c; a cutaway, and finally ‘SR’ – these are the woods, Sitka Spruce & Indian Rosewood

The Grand Nylon series combines two guitar worlds, the sound and lightness of classical guitars and the ergonomic features of the steel string guitar neck – referred to sometimes as a ‘Hybrid’ neck.

The body is finished in Furch’s proprietary Full-Pore High-Gloss Finish, which has been developed to enhance the guitar’s tonal qualities. The finish consists of an ultrathin layer of highly resistant lacquer that provides excellent surface protection and accentuates the structure of the wood at the same time.

The beautiful look of the guitar is underscored by body binding made from man-made tortoiseshell, and an Abalone double ring rosette with black and white line. A transparent pickguard designed to have no effect on the tonal properties of the guitar protects the guitar, while allowing the natural beauty of the wood come through.

In line with Furch’s Environmental commitments, the carbon footprint of this guitar is 15.2 kg (reduced from 38.0 kg).
